True to its commitment to offer free medical assistance to the poorest of the poor across rural India, the Aruna Owal Trust Foundation partnership with LCIF continues to impact lives and make a difference to the common man.

Medicos of the mobile medical vans have successfully treated close to hundred people in across rural Godhra in Gujrat and over hundred and fifty people in the Faridkot in Punjab over the past few days; bringing much needed medical assistance to otherwise inaccessible areas - treating people suffering with all kinds of aliments from common cough to arthritis to cataract. Offering diagnoses and treatment for free.

The Aurna and Abhay Oswal Trust delivered five additional medical vans for use across cities in India. The medical vans will be used in Chandigarh, Godhra, Vodadra, Mumbai and Cuttack for free diagnostic, preventive and treatment services for the underprivileged.

Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust partnership with LCIF takes off the ground

As part of the agreement to provide free, diagnostic, preventive, and treatment services to the underprivileged, the Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust and LCIF have delivered 2 mobile medical vans for use in Chandigarh and Godhra. The partnership seeks to provide mobile medical units, to deliver medical services, to rural populations in India, South Asia, Africa, Middle East (ISAAME) countries.

Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust partners with LCIF for ‘The Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF)/Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust Mobile Medical Unit Program’

Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust partners with LCIF for the Lions Clubs International Foundation (LCIF) / Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust Mobile Medical Unit program. This initiative will provide basic diagnostic, preventive and treatment services to some of the world’s poorest people, free of cost. The trust will design and implement a mobile medical unit which will deliver greatly needed medical services to isolated areas across rural populations in India, South Asia, Africa, Middle East (ISAAME) countries.

While basic health screening procedures will be available, the medical unit will also provide x-ray diagnostic procedures, diabetes management education, distribution of medicines and delivery of blood bank products. A pilot program consisting of 5 medical units is to be implemented immediately. The learnings of the pilot will then be used to scale up the program.

The Aruna & Abhey Oswal Trust intends to commit approximately US$100,000 for a one-year period for the pilot. Based on the results of the pilot, additional funding of Rs. 30 crores (US$5 million Approx.) may be available over a period of five years in support of this collaboration.
